Thank you to Mal Hall, Vickie Barbolak, Chinedu Unaka, Torio Van Grol, and Luis Garcia! Also, a special thank you to The Grand Comedy Club in Escondido. Our first comedy show fundraiser went great and we are looking forward to doing more. Someone in the audience won a Super 73 e-bike and rolled their way out of the club with it! Adam and the crew at The Grand Comedy Club were very gracious and the food was delicious! We raised just under $4000.00 at this event for high school athletics in San Diego. If you know a high school athletic program that needs help with equipment or resources, nominate them in the menu bar above.
Thanks again to all of our donors and sponsors... SDCCU, Batta Fulkerson Personal Injury Attorney, Luna Grill, Super 73, and The Grand Comedy Club in Escondido.

Granite Hills high school track and field had been using the same uniforms for over 20 years. Thanks to all of our generous donors, we we're able to provide 150 new uniforms and shorts to the 2022 Granite Hills Track and Field team. THE NOMINATION LETTER Hello, My name is Ava Guerra. I recently graduated from Granite Hills High School this past spring. I was a three-year tri-sport varsity athlete at the school, running track and cross country and playing soccer. I wanted to bring it to your attention that our track program desperately needs new uniforms. After four years of running on the track team, not once was the whole team ever matching at a meet because we don’t have enough in-tact uniforms for each athlete. From holes in shorts to tears in shirts to not even having enough sweatsuits for the entire team, it is clear that this nomination is necessary. There have been countless times where, for example, our long-distance runners will be in a completely different uniform than our sprinters, throwers, and jumpers. Uniforms are necessary for a team to create a special bond. They are what the competition first sees, what our athletes grow confident in their events. Every other program at our school is equipped with enough matching, in-tact uniforms for every student-athlete participating on the squad. The reasoning behind this is because our head coach, Coach Dann, is the most selfless man you will ever meet. This year, coach Dan will start his 28th season as a coach and 16th as head coach (since the 06/07 school year). He is an inspiration to the team, but he never asks for help when needed. Therefore, I find it necessary that our track program gets the same privilege to represent Granite Hills High School, its team, and its hard work. For there is honor in wearing a uniform. That is why I’m here asking you today to help the Granite Hills Track Team enhance their confidence as a whole with enough matching uniforms to supply the entire team this upcoming season.
We respectfully ask for one hundred and fifty total (seventy-five per both girls and boys track)singlets, shorts, and warm-up sweats. Thank you! Ava Guerra Granite Hills High School Alumni Class of 2021 (PHOTOS BELOW) Congratulations to Fallbrook High School Girls Basketball! The Warriors are a very competitive program in north county playing in the Valley League. Their program struggles to fundraise and we received multiple letters about their team. The 1 More Win crew surprised the players with new warm-up suits, shooting shirts, backpacks and basketballs right before they started practice, Dec 20th. Here is the nomination letter we received about the team: I am part of the Fallbrook Girls Basketball team. I am a senior this year and we got second place in CIF division 3 basketball for girls. We qualified and made it to regionals and placed 2nd in regionals. Sadly, our high school does not give us the funds needed for proper equipment like: shooting machines, spirit wear, jerseys. All we got last year was shooting shirts that was provided privately by one of my teammates parents. We are in desperate need of money to help us get the proper equipment needed to go as far as we can. We are the Fallbrook Girls Basketball team and would really appreciate the support from you guys! -Elley Ahrend We will be watching Fallbrook High Girls Basketball this season and we are very hopeful that they can finish what they started last season! Go Warriors!

This was unique because Grossmont was the school who missed out on their 2020 donation due to the pandemic. Watch -- Fox 5 coverage of Grossmont Girls Softball Donation The NominationHi I’m a mom at Grossmont’s high school . My daughters both go there and are very involved in the wonderful sports programs offered at the school. My favorite sport is softball and both of my girls play. My oldest played JV for two years and my youngest will hopefully make the team this spring. The softball program does a few fundraisers but never seem to get enough money for new uniforms and helmets- I have personally donated many items bats balls socks etc but they could really use some new uniforms and helmets. I don’t think they have had them replaced for years . While grossmont is mostly known for baseball and has a few players in the big leagues. Those player pay if forward and the baseball team has benefitted greatly. It would be beyond awesome for the lady foothillers to get some new duds. Please consider our school! Thank you in advance . The DonationThanks to our generous network of sponsors and supporters, we were able to donate almost $7500 worth of equipment for the girls varsity softball team at Grossmont High. Brand new helmets, home and away jerseys, and logo'd Nike backpacks.
Thank You! Wow, I don't think any or us thought that we would actually be able to pull off a golf tournament during the Covid-19 pandemic. We are shocked to announce that this year we were still able to raise over $16,000 for high school athletics in San Diego. Thanks to our incredible sponsors, volunteers, and players for being the glue that held our yearly event together. The differences this year had to do with NO-SHOTGUN start, less fundraising out on the course, social distancing, no beer ice chests on the course, and no after event party/awards ceremony. We don't know what the future of high school athletics will look like moving forward but we are excited to be ready to help! CHECK OUT ALL THE PHOTOS BELOW AND THANK YOU AGAIN FOR SUPPORTING! This years tournament raised over $18,000 for high school athletes in San Diego. Thanks to Chevrolet for being our title sponsor and of course thank you to all of our other sponsors and volunteers. The Crossings Carlsbad was a beautiful new venue for us and we look forward to working with them again. Highlight videophotos This was one of our favorite delivery's EVER! It started with a letter from a couple who have two children playing basketball at Mission Bay High School in San Diego, Ca... They wrote about the many thankless nights at the snack bar and many hours spent with fundraising attempts and with all that the girls varsity basketball team still looked like quote, "The Bad News Bears"... The letter (posted below) was exactly what we are always looking for, helping high school athletes that need it but more importantly DESERVE it. Our budget was close to $12,000 for this donation and we were able to use that to purchase brand new home and away jerseys, warm up pants, and jackets, logo'd Nike backpacks, plus an 8000 series Gun Shooting basketball machine. Congrats to Mission Bay, we hope to add One More Win to the Buc's season! WATCH THE VIDEO, we were able to suprise the girls on their first day of practice. If you would like to tell us about your high school sports program and your needs, go to the Nominate tab in the menu. Be very specific, we actually had never heard of a shooting gun until we received this letter... It is an incredible resource that will always be on our radar.... Thanks again to anyone who has donated or participated in our fund raising efforts. Here is the original letter..... |
