Wednesday September 2nd, 2021 - We traveled to Warner Springs High School to surprise the 23 players on the varsity football team. Warner High plays 8-man football and they are on the outer edge of San Diego County in a very close knit community. We received a letter about their very old and worn out shoulder pads and uniforms.
"Dear 1 More Win,
I’m a parent of a brand new football player at Warner Springs High-school. The biggest stressor my son and his teammates have been experiencing is the desperate need for proper padding and Uniforms. It’s really been a challenge for these kids as they’re in a school that is extremely rural with many low income families as well as 3 Native American tribes that funnel into this school with all of the mentioned barriers it’s been like the boys are hitting a brick wall when trying to fundraise for the desperately needed items. I appreciate you considering our students and their needs."
Thanks to our incredible donors, we were able to deliver almost $8500 worth of equipment that included new shoulder pads, new home and away jerseys and pants, plus a gift bag with T-shirts from 1 More Win and Chevrolet among other items. Also, the Tea3 Organization stepped in to fund a 5-man sled which will be delivered before this football season is over.
Thank you again for supporting our mission to help underserved high school athletes with equipment and resources.
